Aperture 3.4 crashing

System: OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Aperture (3.4.1)

Symptom: Every time Aperture opens, it would crash after a few seconds

Solution: My crash report said there was a problem in face recognition, so I unchecked “Enable Faces” under Aperture Preferences/General.

Other solutions:

1. Try deleting Aperture from Applications, and then reinstalling via Mac App Store (takes a long time)
2. Try deleting plist files related to Aperture under ~/Library/Preferences
3. Try deleting plist files related to ImageCapture under ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost
